(10/14/09) TMC students do pro-life internships at DC's Culture of Life Foundation.
On Respect Life Sunday, October 4, students from The Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack, New Hampshire, joined thousands of people in Boston for a 5k walk promoting the pro-life cause and raising funds for a variety of pro-life services for expectant mothers. The event was sponsored by Massachusetts Citizens for Life. The day’s events were launched with Mass at Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross and a rally on the Boston Common. “It was an empowering event filled with the glowing energy of people who were happy to be there, happy to celebrate the sanctity of life,” said a student participant. Thomas More College is also involved in the pro-life movement through D.C.-based internships at the Culture of Life Foundation and trips to local abortion clinics where students pray and witness. On January 22, 2010 the college plans to take part in at least one Boston area pro-life march.
