(10/20/09) Bishop will serve on the Board of Directors at Wyoming Catholic College.
Wyoming Catholic College in Lander, Wyo., released a statement today welcoming the appointment of Rev. Paul Etienne of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis as the bishop of the Cheyenne Diocese. “The Wyoming Catholic College community is overjoyed at the news,” said the statement. Fr. Robert Cook, president of Wyoming Catholic, is “both grateful and excited to have a new shepherd.” Fr. Cook said, “Not only is the Bishop of Cheyenne our spiritual leader here in Wyoming, but he also serves as the Chairman of the WCC Board of Directors. Of course, we will all be very excited to welcome him to campus as soon as he is able to visit.” Bishop-elect Etienne succeeds Bishop David Ricken who co-founded Wyoming Catholic in 2005 and is now the bishop of Green Bay. Wyoming Catholic College is featured for its strong Catholic identity in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, now a free online resource in its second edition.
