Catholic education is communal; it is all about reality and real physical presence. Although online education and other methods of distance learning are often not ideal, Catholic educators should strive to provide some measure of the distinctive elements of Catholic education, including the centrality of community and importance of relationships; the presence of a rich prayer and sacramental life; the integral formation of students’ minds, bodies, and spirits; and the development of a Catholic understanding of the world.
