Social Teaching

The Vatican has repeatedly indicated that Catholic education should include instruction in authentic Catholic social teaching. The laity are entrusted with the task of solving problems in the world according to the Church’s social doctrine. Key within this doctrine is the principle of subsidiarity, according to which decisions should be made by the smallest competent authority and nothing should interfere with the truths and obligations ordained by God.
