A faithful Catholic school or college invites speakers, hosts events, and honors individuals to advance its mission of forming young people in truth. Any event or speaker that leads young people into falsehood is contrary to the mission of Catholic education. “The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions” (U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholics in Political Life).
