In America’s pluralistic society, it is important to teach students about race, justice and human dignity. But adopting divisive and ideologically driven innovations like “critical race theory” and the “cancel culture” is not the way of faithful Catholic education. Instead, Catholic educators should rely on faithfully Catholic materials to address these topics, including the clear instruction in Vatican documents, the U.S. bishops’ pastoral letters and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
