Why this Catholic School is Experiencing Conversions: Newman Guide News
Last year, nine students were baptized into the Catholic faith at St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School in Woodbridge, Va., which is Newman Guide Recommended. “Christ’s presence in the Eucharist is giving them their identity,” explained Sister Mary Sabina, O.P., principal of the school. She pointed to the perpetual Adoration chapel on the school’s campus and the weekly school Mass. “We don’t give the grace of conversion, that is from the Lord. But we give them the opportunity and the space to receive.”
Sr. Mary Sabina recently joined Kelly Salomon, vice president of Newman Guide programs at The Cardinal Newman Society, and host Teresa Tomeo on EWTN radio to discuss the spiritual life, courses, teachers, community, and more at St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School.
